Thanks for working so hard – doing the dance over and over again.
Ashley’s notes
1. When you move in the background, be mystical, but slow. Don’t attract too much attention.
2. Kelpie, squeal louder.
3. “No harm letting him…” needs to be slower. Don’t say above.
4. Work on changing characters in the middle of a line. The line has to flow – we will ask Ashley about this.
5. Rehearse the giant step scene. Jumping needs to be right with the footsteps.
6. Rest a while with us – let the audience see Macy say or nod no before the next line.
7. Talk louder during serpent scene.
8. Don’t chop – How-you saw=-yourself- before- you began- your journey.
9. Jake – strength – work on enunciating this word – sounds like straight.
Molly’s notes
10. No talking backstage or in the light booth.
11. Seanachai - It is hard to tell the difference between inside Brigid’s head with the narration.
12. Lights and sound must fade in and out. Fix it.
13. Seanachai – bigger arm movements.
Couch’s notes
14. Lights an music must fade in and out. It is a blaring problem that is evident when the show opens.
15. Jake, look at Macy with your first line.
16. Tatum – messing with hair and cape
17. Be sure that you pull hats or caps off your forehead so that we can see your faces.
18. Brooke – don’t mess with your costume. When you say “ugly” stand.
19. Nathan – louder especially your first line.
20. Tatum – messing with hair and cape
21. Jake and Paige – don’t move quickly in the background..
22. We have to fix the book. It is too floppy.
23. Brooke and Tatum – dance with your first meeting with Macy.
24. Sea Mither – work on dancing around Macy. Don’t be in front of her when Macy is talking.
25. Parker, Lights must fade in and out.
26. Jake step on line – Magic is here.
27. Tucker – great job on Hope
28. Sage do not run at any time. You are majestic and regal.
29. We need to see Tucker laughing during the Kelpie scene.
30. Everyone – react to the Kelpie
31. Page – stand up with the lines – leave her forget her.
32. Macy – good job looking afraid of the kelpie and looking sad.
33. Brooke – don’t let Macy and Tatum block you – move.
34. Music for the giant needs to start as soon as Abby says her last line.
35. Chicken coop part needs work. Chickens need to be quieter.
36. No harm letting – SLOW DOWN, Abby
37. CENTER STAGE with the giant business – you all are too far right stage.
38. Macy, use the upstage hand to gesture to the giant.
39. Stomping and jumping need to be coordinated.
40. Reagan – don’t mess with your cape.
41. Kelpie – you want that wish answered….. Reagan on the floor,.- after you have looked at Macy’s foot.
42. Paige you are doing a good job taking the teeth offstage, but it is still too obvious. They need to be removed during the dance.
43. Reagan, you have a habit of facing backstage.
44. 3rd test – Sea Mither – remember how we rehearsed it last rehearsal.
45. Be gone, not so mean – Brooke.
46. Reagan – after serpent – walk normally.
47. During this scene – NO ONE IS RIGHT STAGE. Where are you? Tatum you should already be out there as well as Jake and Abby.
48. Sheree – cut what might this be.
49. We were over – 40 min 11 seconds. This is the first time. You were really dragging.
50. We need to find one more day to rehearse. If everyone can get over on Wed, right after school – 3:45, we can be through by 4:30.
51. With the time change, I didn’t think it would be a good idea to rehearse 30 more minutes. The kids were tired.
