Sunday's Rehearsal
You did a great job today! We still have a lot of work to do. As soon as we find out when BB practice is, we may need to readjust our schedule. I have never been in rehearsal during basketball season, so this will be interesting. Dr. Border is suggesting times for public performances, so I will let you know asap. Again, thanks so much for working so hard.

Tuesday's Clinic - October 26
I have attached the schedule for Tuesday, March 26. The students will come over from middle school at 9 - later than I told them at rehearsal. They will return to school about 1:15-1:30. Denae McClellan was here during rehearsal and offered to contact parents to bring sandwich fixings. We will make sure they eat - especially since they have cross country that afternoon. They need to keep their energy level up for CC. Students will watch Roosevelt's play, but not Idalou's. Roosevelt's play will be worth watching and is a version of a Midsummer Night's Dream. Thank you for your support.

Help Me Out
Students,
Please post comments about how you think rehearsals are going. You might post a complement to another actor about how much he/she has improved, issues with your role, questions about how you are doing, anything you like.
Love you guys!

Tuesday, October 12 Rehearsal
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
• We have five rehearsals left until we perform in front of a judge at our clinic. Memorize your lines. Being gone is not an excuse for not having lines memorized.
• Sound – Pay attention. Music and sound effects MUST be on cue. If you cannot hear the actors speak, then turn the music down. Record the sound levels so that you can be consistent each time. I know that this is your first time to do this, but be consistent. You and the light tech are controlling the environment of the show.
• Sea Mither, touch Brigid more.
• Cheyanne, louder when saying – the serpent crept….
• Brooke, use a lower register to speak.
• Reagan, hit the consonants. A little bit louder. You are improving.
• More touching – everyone
• Briana, sound sad when you ask where she is going. I love that you are using gestures. Usually, I have to scream at students to use more. However, no dance gestures. Use gestures you might see a teacher using in a classroom. Use the dance gestures during the dances and show all the others how you do it.
• Father, don’t stomp all the way out. You are doing so well at showing emotion.
• Sea Mither, dance around Brigid until she says her first line.
• Sage, work on your walk and air. USE THE BOOK ON YOUR HEAD.
• Great job tonight, guys. Wonderful job, Andi and Brittany. Thanks for helping us out. Please express your gratitude to Kayla. She has been working on the script during the week – the script for the judge and contest manager.
• Friday, we will start rehearsing as soon as the pep rally is over. We will rehearse for one hour. We have to time the show, so I will know whether to add or cut scenes.
• FIVE MORE REHEARSALS UNTIL THE CLINIC. Even though the other schools are no longer in our district, we need to be competitive with them.

• STOP! We will reblock the village scene. We will re-light it too. Sorry, James.
• This foot – Macy, needs to be said as soon as Tucker says his line.
• Tap once – Macy – you need to tap.

• Macy, tap when the chant begins then the bard rod moves.
• Start on page 16 on Friday.
• Meredith, say Magic is here, hope is here in different ways.
• Brooke, Macy, and Tatum, speak in a lower register.

• Reagan, open your mouth bigger and hit consonants. This goes for EVERY ACTOR.
• MEMORIZE LINES. We are feeding too many.
• Laurel, act a little more like a little girl – curious, excited to meet new people. Reach further to almost touch the foot.
